Privacy Policy
Lightstick Studio does not collect, sell or share your personal data, and keeps nothing on any server. The app has no internet access, so it cannot send anything off your phone.
Who we are
Lightstick Studio (“the app”) is an independent, free fan project published on Google Play by its developer (“we”). Contact: support@ilocosscript.com.
Data we collect
None. The app does not request the Android internet permission, has no account or login, and contains no analytics, advertising or crash-reporting services.
Permissions and what they are used for
- Nearby devices (Bluetooth scan and connect). Used only to find and control your lightstick. The app declares to Android that it does not use Bluetooth to determine your location.
- Microphone. Used only while you run Beat Sync, to detect the beat of the music around you. Sound is analysed in memory on your phone, a few milliseconds at a time. It is never recorded, saved or sent anywhere.
- Photos you choose. When you add a photo to a profile, you pick it with Android’s photo picker. The app copies only that image into its own private storage on your phone so it can display it.
- Vibration. Used for optional haptic feedback when you tap controls.
Data stored on your phone
Your settings, colours, saved effects, light shows and the photos you add are stored only in the app’s private storage on your device. You can delete them at any time by clearing the app’s storage or uninstalling the app. If Android device backup is turned on, Android may include this data in your own Google backup, under your Google account’s terms.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above. If a future version ever handles personal data, this page will say so before that version is released.
